Apunipima’s past Chair, Bernie Singleton, was inducted into the Queensland Aboriginal and Islander Health Council’s (QAIHC) Hall of Fame.
The Hall of Fame is a prestigious achievement and recognises individuals for their dedication and commitment to the establishment and expansion of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Community Controlled Health Services in Queensland.
With a career spanning fifty years advocating for the development and delivery of health services for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people in Cape York, including thirteen years as Chair of Apunipima, there was no doubt that Bernie was a very worthy recipient of this recognition.
Congratulations to Bernie and thank you for all that you have achieved!
