We welcome Nutrition students Jade Jewell and Monique Lemon from the University of Sunshine Coast. Both Jade and Monique are in their final year of study. This six week placement with Apunipima forms an important part of their final year study.

During their Community Nutrition placement Jade and Monique will be working with the community of Hope Vale to develop a key nutrition resource that will be rolled out across Cape York. The resource, will be created specifically for school aged children and more specifically their school lunch boxes. Ultimately it is hoped that this will assist families and supermarkets in the Cape to improve the nutritional quality of school lunches.

If you see Jade or Monique around the Cape, be sure to say ‘hi’.
