“Our Health in Our Hands” is a community-led gathering celebrating the strength, culture, and wellness of Cape York people through The Apunipima Way — where health care is designed by the people, for the people.
The day brings together families, Elders, health workers, and partner organisations to share stories, showcase community health initiatives, and strengthen our collective commitment to holistic wellbeing.
Purpose
To reaffirm Apunipima’s vision for Community Controlled Primary Health Care in Cape York — and to demonstrate how local voices and cultural knowledge continue to shape the delivery of health services across our region.
